Before and After (and In-Between): The Living Room

Sometimes, my impatience gets the best of me. I have a hard time seeing the work that’s been done, and focus instead on the work that needs doing. Surely I’m not the only one - right?

There are 5 years between the first and last photos of this post. Can you believe it? I honestly can’t.

A lot has happened in those 5 years - from the perspective of our family, and from the perspective of our home. At risk of being too sentimental, I’ll focus on our home.

We had no idea the mess we’d gotten ourselves into when we bought this home.

Have you ever seen The Money Pit with Tom Hanks? It was like that. But maybe worse.

Still, though, looking back - I am so thankful that we live here. I am so thankful that this is our (Lord-willing) forever home.

Over the years, I’ll continue to tinker (my favorite activity) but for now - I’m admiring how far we’ve come!
